Method for dismounting spindle bearing at underground hydrant under e.g. road surface, involves grinding conical seat in sliding tube, and re-guiding closure cone, spindle and bearing into standpipe in inverse series sequence

The method involves demounting a closing lid from a standpipe, and fitting a sleeve (33) on a spindle. An extension tube, sliding tube and a rinsing tube are attached, and a main valve is opened in a hydrant. A closure cone, the spindle and a spindle bearing (31) are rinsed in the rinsing tube in vertical manner. The cone, spindle and bearing are removed after closing a slider. The cone, spindle and bearing are replaced and/or conical seat in the sliding tube is grinded. The cone, spindle and bearing are re-guided into the standpipe in an inverse series sequence. An independent claim is also included for a device for dismounting a spindle bearing from an underground hydrant.
