<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for manufacturing an edgewise coil of high space factor which is not restricted for a small driving force, but applicable for a large driving force. <P>SOLUTION: This edgewise coil manufacturing device includes a winding part 21 of which the periphery surface has a rectangle cross section, a first flange 23 which has an internal peripheral surface touching the periphery surface of the winding part and a collar (flange) of the same height as a rectangular wire, and a first opposed flange 33 facing the first flange, a second flange 24 which has an internal peripheral surface touching a periphery surface of the first flange and a second opposed flange 34 facing the second flange.
