PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding tool, which does not need arms or cranks for the binding member thereof, wherein force by a portion of the spring member is easy to focus on the apical end of the binding member, and which is easy to produce. SOLUTION: The binding tool includes: a binding member 70 which presses an object X to be bound; an operation member 60 which operates to move the binding member 70 to the locking condition and to the lock release condition; a base member 22; and the spring member 50 which biases the binding member 70. The spring member 70 including an axial portion 72, the spring member 50 partially extends toward the pressing portion of the binding member 70 and actuates the binding member 70 to rotate around the axial portion 72 into the holding condition to press the object X to be bound and into the open condition to be away from the object X to be bound. And the spring member 50 is also structured to slide into the direction that the axial portion 72 extends to when moving the binding member 70 from the holding condition to the open condition to be away from the object X to be bound.
