<p>A method and a device for determining the bias point of a modulator are provided. The method includes: adding a pilot signal into bias voltages of a modulator (S101); adjusting the bias point of the modulator by a predetermined step, and acquiring the first harmonic amplitude value of the backlight detection current signal output from the modulator corresponding to each bias point (S103); defining the bias point corresponding to the maximum value of multiple first harmonic amplitude values as the bias point of the modulator, wherein multiple first harmonic amplitude values correspond to multiple bias points (S105). This method can eliminate detection of the difference frequency signal, thus it is able to reduce complexity and cost of the peripheral control circuit while ensuring the control precision, effectively improve the stability and reliability of the control process, and contribute to the improvement of optical signal modulation and transmission performance in whole system.</p> |
