The furniture (2) has an excerpt part (6) moved by a drive unit (14) between a drawn-in position and an extended position relative to a body (4), and a vibration sensor (16) sending a detection signal to the drive unit for operating the sensor during detection of vibration. A wireless transmitter and a wireless receiver are assigned to the sensor and the drive unit, respectively such that a bidirectional signal transmission connection is formed between the sensor and the drive unit.
