<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce communication for determining an intermittent period between radio stations and determine an intermittent period appropriately in order to perform radio communication with low power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: Radio stations 3-7 store delay information between ends defined beforehand as time to send sensing data from the radio station 7 to a base station 2, the sensing data being acquired at a radio station 7. The radio stations 3-7 compute an intermittent period for the own station and an intermittent period for a high-order station based on the delay information between ends. The radio stations 3-7 perform intermittent reception according to the intermittent period of the own station, and receive sensing data from a low-order station.
