<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine, along with a fuel supply device thereof, capable of reducing the amount of a fuel put back into a fuel tank from a fuel storage part during stopping of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel supply device 2 includes: a fuel tank 31 for storing fuel; a low pressure fuel pump 32 for discharging the fuel stored in the fuel tank 31; a high pressure delivery pipe 11 configure to be provided with a first fuel injection valve 12; a fuel pipe 43 where the fuel discharged from the low pressure fuel pump 32 flows; and a low pressure regulator 56 configure to put the fuel left in the fuel pipe 43 back into the fuel tank 31 when the fuel pressure in the fuel pipe 43 is larger than a control pressure. The device is configured such that a solenoid valve 80 for opening/closing the passage of the fuel pipe 43 is provided on the fuel pipe 43, between the low pressure regulator 56 and the high delivery pipe 11. The solenoid valve 80 is configured to be maintained in an open state with the engine running, and meanwhile to be switched from an open state to a closed state along with an operation to stop the engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
