<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric deionized-water production apparatus which prevents an anion exchange membrane arranged in the side of an anode room from deteriorating, while controlling generation of Joule heat in an electrode room. <P>SOLUTION: The electric deionized-water production apparatus 1 has an anode plate 1a, the anode room 1b, the anion exchange membrane AEM, a desalting room 1c, the anion exchange membrane AEM, a cathode room 1d, and a cathode plate 1e, which are arrayed in this order. An anion exchanging body AE is packed in the desalting room 1c and the cathode room 1d. The anion exchanging body AE and a cation exchanging body CE are packed in the anode room 1b. Concretely, in this packing state, the cation exchanging body CE is arranged in the side of the anode plate 1a not in contact with the anion exchanging membrane AEM in the anode room 1b.
