<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the washing device of a component detector capable of washing a sensor immersed in sewage without using power, facilitating maintenance and management, and accurately measuring the dissolved component in sewage in real time. <P>SOLUTION: The washing device is adapted to the component detector (7) including a sensor holder (8) of which the leading end (8a) is immersed in the flowing sewage and the sensor (10) provided to the leading end (8a) of the sensor holder (8) to detect the dissolved component in the sewage. The washing device is equipped with the cylindrical fixing part (13) fixed to the sensor holder (8); the movable part (14) mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the fixing part (13) so as to be immersed in the sewage and receiving the flow of the sewage to reciprocally move in the axial direction of the fixing part (13); and the washing body (15) brought into contact with the outer peripheral surface of the leading end (8a) of the sensor holder (8) containing the sensor (10) in a slidable manner.
