FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an air nozzle position and a position where air reaches transfer paper to positions that meet a wide variety of conditions in an air separation system so as to ensure separation of transfer paper.

SOLUTION: A first nip forming member (a fixing belt 92) provided rotatably and a second nip forming member (a pressurizing roller 85) provided rotatably under the fixing belt 92 are arranged in such a manner as to abut against each other and form a fixing nip part N. A sheet P ejected from the fixing nip part N is peeled from the first and second nip forming members by jetting of compressed air. An air nozzle 81 is provided as peeling means. The air nozzle 81 is attached to an air nozzle holding member 88. The air nozzle holding member 88 is configured to be able to rotate about a fixing roller 84 so that the position of the air nozzle 81 can be moved arbitrarily.
