<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, program, system, and method which identify a type of an electrical appliance connected to a network without requiring user's registering operation and displays proper information such as recall information and an advertisement on the basis of information of the identified type. <P>SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus 50 transmits a prescribed request packet to an electrical appliance 20 and receives a response packet for determining a type of the electrical appliance 20, from the electrical appliance 20 to which the request packet has been transmitted, and compares the response packet with preliminarily stored definition files to perform scoring. Then the information processing apparatus extracts a definition file having high scores and takes electrical appliance information of this definition file as that for the electrical appliance 20 to determine a type of the electrical appliance 20 and obtains advertisement information data or data relating to recall information from an output information providing server 300 to which the information processing apparatus is communicably connected, on the basis of the determined electrical appliance information and displays the data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
