<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin-shaped lithium secondary battery of high capacity and superior in charge-discharge cycle characteristics and continuous charge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The coin-shaped lithium secondary battery includes: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator sandwiched between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes: a negative electrode active material to contain a silicon alloy material; a conductive agent composed of carbon material; and a binder. The silicon alloy material includes A phase composed of a lithium-silicon alloy and B phase composed of an intermetallic compound of a transition metal element and silicon. When in a state of charge of 100%, in the lithium-silicon alloy, proportion of lithium atom against silicon atom is 2.75 to 3.65. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
