PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel which has excellent corrosion resistance in the weld heat affected zone. SOLUTION: The stainless steel sheet having improved corrosion resistance in the weld heat affected zone is characterized in that the thickness of an oxide film is≥15 nm, the concentration of Al in the oxide film is≥50 atomic% in the atomic ratio of Al, Si, Mn, Cr and Fe, and further the defect rate of the oxide film is≤3.0%.
