PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life DC-motor brush that secures a more stable contact state by being brought into point contact with a commutator when incorporated into a small DC motor so as to reduce abnormal wear and the occurrence of sparks and to maintain a proper current supply state even if wear of the contact part of the brush slightly progresses. SOLUTION: The DC-motor brush 1 is composed of a conductive and elastic belt-like metal plate while being an almost V-shaped member as a whole when viewed from the side surface. One side of a bent part 2 constituting the V-shape becomes a contact piece 3a in contact with a commutator 5 of a DC motor while the other side becomes a terminal piece 3b. The part, in contact with the commutator 5, of the contact piece 3a is rounded so as to configure it into a semi-cylindrical swelling part 3ax swelling to the side of the commutator 5 and long in the length direction of the contact piece 3a. The bent part 2 is located almost at the intermediate part in the length direction of the brush 1 and comprises two forward bent parts 2a, 2b, having internal angles β1, β2 respectively facing the inside of each bent part, and a backward bent part 2c located between the two forward bent parts 2a, 2b and having an internal angle α in the direction opposite to the direction of the internal angles β1, β2.
