PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument and a method for calibrating a contact type surface temperature sensor for bringing a temperature sensing part into contact with the surface of a measured temperature body to accurately compare and calibrate the contact type surface temperature sensor measuring the surface temperature, and to provide a method for calibrating a reference temperature sensor. SOLUTION: The instrument 10 for calibrating the contact type surface temperature sensor for calibrating the contact type surface temperature sensor 20 fixes and arranges the reference temperature sensor 30 on a reference block 11 contacting the temperature sensing part 21 of the contact type surface temperature sensor 20, is brought into contact with the reference block 11, and constitutes the reference block 11 separable from a heating block 14 providing a heating source 17 in which the reference block 11 is heated to increase the temperature.
