Provided is a lighting unit with switch which, with a single light source, is able to illuminate the location of the switch operation part when the switch is off, and is able to use the light of the same light source as an illumination light that illuminates a room, or the like, when the switch is on. The lighting unit with switch is provided with: a first housing (10) having a lens (40) that is able to emit an illumination light from the inside to the outside, and disposed on a panel wall (10A) in such a manner that a switch knob (30), which can be illuminated by the lens according to an on operation, faces to the outside; an always-on LED (50) disposed inside a second housing (20); and a set of gears (37, 72) that change the direction of illumination in such a manner that the LED light serves as the light that illuminates the switch knob when the switch knob is off, and change the direction of illumination in such manner that the LED light serves as the illumination light from the lens when the switch knob is on. |
