<p>A pipe (210) is provided for use in a geothermal heat exchange system. The pipe (210) is insertable in a bore hole ( 162) having a proximal end ( 163) disposed relatively closer to a surface (165) of the earth, and a distal end ( 163) disposed relatively further from the surface (165) of the earth. The pipe (210) comprises an inflow pipe portion (212) having a first end and a second end, an outer wall portion (211) and an inner wall portion (213) extending between the first and second ends for defining an inflow chamber (230) that extends generally between the first end and tne second end of the inflow pipe portion (212). Water can flow through the inflow chamber (230) between the first and second ends of the inflow pipe portion (212) in a direction toward the distal end (167) of the bore hole (162).</p> |
