<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp unit for a vehicle in which uniform illuminance and a wide irradiation pattern can be obtained, while using a semiconductor light-emitting element as a light source. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp unit for the vehicle 30 includes: a toroidal lens 31 arranged on an optical axis Ay extending in a front and rear direction of the vehicle; a semiconductor light-emitting element 32 arranged on the optical axis Ay at the rear side than a rear side focal line Fy of the toroidal lens 31; and a diffusion reflector 40, which reflects light from the semiconductor light-emitting element 32 toward the front. The diffusion reflector 40 includes concave curved surfaces 41, 42 of the right and left pair centered at the optical axis Ay, and each of the concave curved surfaces 41, 42 has a reflecting surface of a shape in which the light entered into the inner regions 41a, 42a toward the optical axis Ay is reflected to the opposite side right and left, interposing the optical axis Ay. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
