<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient trapezoidal-distortion compensation when adjusting a projection angle of an image in a projector device of a lens exchange type. <P>SOLUTION: A lens device for a projector includes a projection lens 21 for projecting image light, a lens case where the projection lens is contained, a terminal portion 25 for communicating information with the projector body which generates image light, and a memory 23. Data stored in the memory 23 are data for correcting distortion of the image light projected by the projection lens.
