<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reproducing device having a function of judging the network status before reproducing a title when reproducing an optical disk having a network connection function. <P>SOLUTION: The reproducing device of recording medium for reproducing a video stream recorded in MPEG-2 includes a network connectivity judgment section for judging whether it is necessary to acquire data via the network for reproduction or not, a network circuit information acquiring section for acquiring network circuit information, a system controller for judging whether the network should be connected based on an analytical result of network circuit information and information of network connection necessity, and a video decoder for reproducing the video stream by using the data acquired via the network or reproducing the video stream without acquiring the data in accordance with a judgment signal, and the video decoder executes random access reproduction by making connection with a server via the network based on the judgment signal and acquiring reproduction control information from the server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
