Disclosed is a method for manufacturing a light-emitting device, in which an organic EL layer having an intended shape is formed. A method for manufacturing a light-emitting device (21) which comprises: a supporting substrate; partitions (17) which are provided on the supporting substrate and define recesses (18) that are established on the supporting substrate; and a plurality of organic EL elements (22) which include a first electrode (12) and a second electrode that are provided in the recesses, and include an organic EL layer that is provided between the first and second electrodes, wherein the method for manufacturing the light-emitting device includes: a step for preparing the supporting substrate on which the first electrodes and the partitions are provided; a step for supplying ink, which contains a material that is to become the organic EL layer, to the recesses in a volume between 90% and 120% of the volume of the recesses; a step for forming the organic EL layer by solidifying the supplied ink; and a step for forming the second electrodes. |
