<p>The present invention relates to the field of software testing, and more particularly to a method for generating updated test data from raw data, to a system for carrying out the method, as well as to a data structure associated thereto. There is provided a graph structure containing the raw data. The raw data in the graph structure is updated by applying one ore more business rule step, in order to obtain updated data in the graph structure. Based on a walk of the graph structure, the updated test data is then generated in a test environment. The raw data in the graph structure may include date and/or time information, which are updated to reflect a different date and/or time. The date and/or time records, as well as other components of the graph structure, may be further manipulated according to business rules, in order to produce test data as required.</p> |
