Disclosed is an electric tool which eliminates the deviation between a threshold and the lower limit of the usable range of the battery voltage, said deviation being due to the discrepancy of the voltage ranges of each battery pack, and which is capable of good overdischarge prevention control even when battery packs of different voltage ranges are selected to be mounted. The disclosed electric tool is provided with a drive block (2) which uses a motor as a drive source, battery packs (8) for supplying power to the aforementioned drive block (2), and a control circuit (6) which performs overdischarge prevention control for preventing overdischarge of the aforementioned battery packs (8), wherein the aforementioned control circuit (6) uses a value corresponding to the mounted battery packs (8) as the threshold value (L) used in the aforementioned overdischarge prevention control.
