<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide hydrogels which modulate the release profile of active pharmaceutical ingredients contained therein. <P>SOLUTION: A method includes: a step of contacting a first hydrogel precursor with a first buffering agent; a step of contacting a second hydrogel precursor with a second buffering agent; a step of adding a bioactive agent to either or both of the first and second hydrogel precursors; and a step of contacting an obtained tissue sample with the first and second hydrogel precursors. The first and second hydrogel precursors form the hydrogels upon contacting and the bioactive agent has pKa between the initial pH and physiological pH upon forming the hydrogel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
