<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input apparatus whose electrode can be insulated reliably by a simple process. <P>SOLUTION: An area surrounded by a pair of electrodes 12a, 12a of a first translucent substrate 10 having hardness and a pair of electrodes 22a, 22a of a second translucent substrate 20 is set as an operation area 2. From the pair of electrodes 12a, 12a disposed on the first translucent substrate 10, extraction electrode parts 12b, 12b are extracted to the outside of a transparent conductive film 11.
