<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp coagulator for ultrasonic surgery, which is configured to prevent erroneous actuation of a switch. <P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic surgical instrument comprises: a housing for receiving a transducer includes an actuator having a first open position and a second closed position, and defining a housing surface; a first switch which is arranged on the housing so as to be operated by one or a plurality of fingers of a surgeon, and is connected electrically to a generator for supplying an electric signal to the generator in order to control the ultrasonic energy level supplied by the transducer; and a section which is adjacent to at least one switch and defines a sectional surface higher than the housing surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
