PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device which can improve working efficiency in laying a cable and hold a rotatable cable drum at a fixed position on fork arms. SOLUTION: The conveying device includes a pair of fork arms 11a, 11b extending in the lateral direction and pairs of rollers 27a, 27b, 28a, 28b supported by the fork arms. The rollers are extended in the longitudinal direction of the fork arms and lined in the longitudinal direction of the fork arms. The cable drum 2 is disposed on the fork arms such that its flanges 5a, 5b are bridged over the fork arms. The rollers are contacted with the outer circumferential surfaces of the flanges to rotatably support the cable drum. The rollers adjacent in the longitudinal direction of the fork arms are inclined in the direction opposite to the direction where the fork arms extend, so that the gravity center of the rotatable cable drum 2 is moved between the adjacent rollers.
