PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a vehicle body structure allowing efficient rigidity and a sound insulating effect to be obtained without causing increases in components, manufacturing cost and mass. SOLUTION: The inside of a hollow closed section structure of a vehicle body is divided into a foaming material filling part 45 and a hollow metallic ball filling part 46 by a hollow metallic ball moving regulation member 43. The inside of the hollow metallic ball filling part 46 is filled with granular hollow metallic balls 61. The inside of the hollow metallic ball filling part 45 is filled with hollow metallic balls 61 and a foaming resin material 62 by foam-expanding the foaming resin material 62 in the hollow closed section structure. The inside of the foaming material filling part 45 is filled with the foaming resin material 62. As a result, the hollow metallic ball filling part 46 is stiffened by the hollow metallic balls 61 and the foaming resin material 62 to improve rigidity, and the inside of the foaming material filling part 45 is filled with the foaming resin material 62 to obtain vibration control and sound insulating functions.
