摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce glass having high mechanical strength by combining an ion-exchange ability with devitrification resistance in the glass. <P>SOLUTION: The tempered glass substrate having a compressive stress layer formed on its surface has a glass composition (by mass) comprising 40 to 71% SiO<SB>2</SB>, 3 to 21% Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0 to 3.5% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 7 to 20% Na<SB>2</SB>O, 0 to 15% K<SB>2</SB>O, 0.001 to 10% ZrO<SB>2</SB>and 0 to 4% TiO<SB>2</SB>, and, its ion-exchange ability is improved by the incorporation of 0.01 to 3% SnO<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
