<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target tracking device capable of tracking, at higher speed than the prior arts, an area in which a specific target appears, out of captured images inputted in time-series from a photographing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The target tracking device includes: a photographic parameter-acquiring unit 31 for acquiring a photographic parameter; a track area-adjusting unit 34 for adjusting the size of a track area for tracking the area in which the specific target appears, based on the photographic parameter; and a track area-searching unit 35 for searching the track area in which the specific target appears, out of the captured images based on similarity between the characteristic amount of an image in the track area and that of an image in a specific area specified out of a captured image immediately before the image in time series. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
