PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch to an SCH (Service Channel) for another communication without disconnecting the present communication in a communication instrument. SOLUTION: There is disclosed a communication system having a plurality of communication instruments which each communicate using a CCH (Control Channel) and the plurality of SCHs. The plurality of communication instruments include a master communication instrument, a first slave communication instrument, and a second slave communication instrument. The master communication instrument transmits SCH information indicating the SCH to be used by the instrument itself to the first slave communication instrument. During communication with the second slave communication instrument, when switching to the SCH indicated by the SCH information in order to communicate with the master communication instrument, the first slave communication instrument transmits channel-switch information to the second slave communication instrument so that the switch to the SCH indicated by the SCH information is implemented.
