PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blur-free synthetic aperture radar image, even when accuracy of a GPS signal deteriorates, in a bistatic synthetic aperture radar apparatus which performs time synchronization between a transmission antenna and a receiving antenna, by using a GPS signal received by a GPS receiver, wherein the transmission antenna is mounted on a mobile platform, such as, aircraft and satellite and the receiving antenna is mounted on the ground. SOLUTION: First and second receiving antennas are provided, at positions differing from that of a transmission radar and are spaced apart from each other. A time synchronization error between a time synchronization signal of the transmission radar and a time synchronization signal of a reception radar is obtained, on the basis of an observation value of a phase difference of high-frequency pulse signals received from the first and second receiving antennas. Phase correction of the high-frequency pulse signals from the first and second receiving antennas is performed by the time error obtained and synthetic aperture processing is conducted.
