PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the most of a space around a motor while maintaining the performance of an impeller, concerning a humidifier and an air cleaner with humidifying function provided for humidifying a room lacking of humidity. SOLUTION: The humidifier includes: a body 13 having an air inlet opening 11 and an air outlet opening 12; a blade 15 inclining backward, in the rotation direction, relative to an orifice 14 provided on the inlet opening 11 side; an impeller 17 composed of a shroud 16 that is so formed as to overlap with the orifice 14 in the axial direction; a blower provided on the orifice 14 side, and composed of the motor 18 for driving the impeller 17; a liquid absorbent filter 19; and a liquid-storage tray 20 for supporting the liquid absorbent filter 19. The configuration of arranging the liquid absorbent filter 19 and the liquid-storage tray 20 around the motor 18 allows achieving, while maintaining the performance of the impeller 17, a compact device in which the space around the motor 18 is made the most of.
