PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact paper post-processing device achieving satisfactory alignment and stable paper transport performance after stitching processing, in a paper post-processing device performing the stitching processing by aligning a plurality of papers ejected from an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The paper post-processing device includes: movable saddle stitching reference fences 55 and 56 for aligning and stopping the plurality of papers at a saddle stitching position; a stapler 50 for stitching the papers; and a saddle folding unit 7 for saddle folding the plurality of stitched papers. The paper post-processing device also includes: a first transport passage 2 substantially linear in a horizontal direction, along which the saddle stitching reference fence and the stapler are disposed; and a second transport passage 3 along which the saddle folding unit 7 is disposed. A branch point 4 branchable to the second transport passage 3 is disposed in the middle of the first transport passage 2. The papers are fed reversely so that the front ends thereof reach the branch point by moving the saddle stitching reference fence, and are allowed to enter the second transport passage by changing a paper transport direction by the saddle stitching reference fence moved to the branched point.
