Disclosed is a carbon film formed from carbonizing a phenol resin having at least one group of atoms selected from the group consisting of a methylene bond, a dimethylene ether bond, and a methylol group, and of which the total percentage of contained moles of the group of atoms is 100-180% with respect to the phenol nucleus.
