The disclosed mobile wireless system is provided with: a first gateway (L-PGW) and a second gateway (PGW); a first access point (HeNB) that can simultaneously establish communication pathways to both; and a second access point (eNB) that can establish a communication pathway only to the PGW. When a mobile terminal, which is in the midst of communication with a communication destination node using a first pathway connected to the HeNB via the L-PGW, switches the connection destination to the eNB, the HeNB establishes a second pathway to the eNB via the PGW before disconnecting the connection with the mobile terminal (UE) and while maintaining communication via the first pathway, and then the connection between the UE and the HeNB is disconnected, the UE connects to the eNB, and during the period until a third pathway is established to the communication destination node via the PGW, data transmitted from the communication destination note through the first pathway to the HeNB is forwarded to the eNB via the second pathway. Consequently, data reception downtime accompanying handover of the mobile terminal is shortened. |
