Provided is a method for producing liquid crystal elements, with excellent productivity and dramatically shortened processes, wherein the orientation and formation of a liquid crystal layer are carried out simultaneously using a method of orienting liquid crystal molecule as an alternative to rubbing. Also provided is a device for producing liquid crystal elements. The method and device for producing liquid crystal elements comprises: a step in which a substrate is moved in a direction perpendicular to the slit direction of a mouth; and a step in which liquid crystals are applied to a substrate from a slit-shaped mouth, and an energy wave is irradiated by means of a polymerization initiation means towards the outlet of the slit-shaped mouth from which liquid crystals are discharged.
