<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell generating apparatus suppressing electrode corrosion of the fuel cell due to formation of an internal battery, and attaining the suppression with a simple device configuration, and to provide a method of operating the same. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell generating apparatus 1 includes a raw fuel supply unit 11, a reforming device 12 having a reforming unit 14 and a combustion portion 15, and a fuel cell body 13 having a fuel electrode 16 and an oxidant electrode 17. A fuel gas supply line 19 is disposed between the reforming unit 14 and the fuel electrode 16, and an off-gas supply line 26 supplying an off-gas of the fuel electrode 16 to the combustion portion 15 as a combustion gas is disposed between the fuel electrode 16 and the combustion portion 15. A bypass line 24 having an electromagnetic control valve 25 is disposed between the raw fuel supply unit 11 and the fuel electrode 16. When the fuel cell body 13 is activated, the electromagnetic control valve 25 is controlled to open/close to supply the raw fuel gas to the fuel electrode 16 via the bypass line 24 before the fuel gas is supplied to the fuel electrode 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
