<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional heat pump water heater wherein hot water becomes short when scale in a water circuit due to secular change and pressure loss of the water circuit due to work problems at construction or the like increase, the pressure loss of the water circuit becomes larger than a design value, a flow rate becomes insufficient even if a pump is operated at maximum capacity, abnormal stopping happens due to detection of a tapping temperature higher than a maximum tapping temperature of the apparatus, and boiling cannot be carried out. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump water heater includes a tapping temperature high temperature abnormality detector for carrying out detection from a radiator water outlet temperature, and a heating capacity changing unit of a refrigerating cycle. When high temperature abnormality is detected in a tapping temperature, operation is stopped, and operation is carried out by lowering a heating capacity by a predetermined value by the heating capacity changing unit at restart operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
