<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a counterelectromotive force by measuring the resistance and inductance of a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A test signal generating circuit 60 generates an AC test signal S<SB>TEST</SB>. A drive 10 supplies a motor 6 with a drive voltage V<SB>DRV</SB>with the test signal S<SB>TEST</SB>superimposed thereon. A current detecting circuit 12 generates a detection signal S<SB>CS</SB>according to a current flowing actually to the coil of the motor 6. A filter 64 extracts frequency components according to the test signal S<SB>TEST</SB>from the detection signal S<SB>CS</SB>. A coil constant calculating circuit 66 calculates the resistance value R and the inductance value L of the motor 6, based on the amplitudes of the detection signal S<SB>CS</SB>' output from the filter 64 and the test signal S<SB>TEST</SB>and the phase difference between them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
