<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent and suppress deterioration of an O<SB>2</SB>sensor without impeding the operation of the O<SB>2</SB>sensor as little as possible. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust brake 10 is provided at a proper position of an exhaust pipe 5, and the O<SB>2</SB>sensor 11 is arranged at a proper position upstream of the same for detecting an oxygen concentration. The O<SB>2</SB>sensor 11 is driven by a vehicle control device 101 so that supply of a pump current is intercepted when the exhaust brake 10 is set to be ON and supply of the pump current is started after elapse of a predetermined time when the exhaust brake 10 is set to be OFF. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
