PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealability between a joining part and a dust box, and to suitably prevent reduction in dust collecting force and cost increase by simply constituting a dust collecting passage. SOLUTION: A dust collector 40 is installed in a hammer drill 1. A connecting part with an inlet 70 of a dust box 61 in the dust collecting passage is projected in the joining part 48, and is also formed as a duct 55 inserted into and connected to the inlet 70 in a joining state of the dust body 61, and an intake chamber 47 for storing a dust collecting fan 46 is connected to the joining part 48. A connecting part with an outlet 71 in the dust collecting passage is opened in the joining part 48, and is formed as a communicating hole 50 for communicating the intake chamber 47 with the outlet 71 in the joining state of the dust box 61.
