PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion current detecting and processing device for an internal combustion engine, capable of eliminating an error of processing due to an influence of noise. SOLUTION: A control device ECU starts a signal processing routine R1 when an ignition signal SG trails. In the signal processing routine R1, an ion current detecting signal V0 is detected at every AD timing, and the detected information is stored in a memory circuit (S01). Thereafter, BPF processing about a noise detection section W1 is carried (S02), and output values of the BPF processing about the noise detection section W1 are cumulatively computed (S03). Thereafter, an analysis object section W3 required for analysis of a specified signal is selected, and BPF processing about the analysis object section W3 is carried out (S04). Thereafter, output values of the BPF processing about the analysis object section W3 is cumulatively computed (S05).
