PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat recovery device that suppresses a decrease in efficiency of heat exchange that is caused by high temperature of a high-temperature fluid. SOLUTION: The heat recovery device 60 includes: an evaporator 70 for exchanging heat between a working medium and exhaust; and a condenser 80 for exchanging heat between a vapor of the working medium supplied from the evaporator 70 and a coolant, wherein the working medium circulates between the evaporator 70 and the condenser 80. In the device, a vapor holder 74 trapping the vapor of the working medium generated in the evaporator 70 within the evaporator 70, is provided.
