PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a turbo refrigerator reducing work in a series of processes from assembly and disassembly in a manufacturing plant to installation on side even though the turbo refrigerator has large refrigerating capacity. SOLUTION: This method includes: a step (a) of arranging a condenser module 21 wherein a condenser 31 and a cooling water pump 33 connected by a pipe L12 are installed on a frame 29 and an evaporator module 23 wherein an evaporator 37 and a cold water pump 39 connected by a pipe L23 are installed in a frame 35, in an installation position on site; and a step (b) of connecting the condenser 31 of the condenser module 21 to the evaporator module 23 by a flow passage L1 through which a refrigerant flows and in which a turbo compressor 25 is arranged in the middle and a flow passage L2 through which a refrigerant flows and in which an expansion valve 27 is arranged in the middle.
