PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply volatile flavor to a smoking article in a package. SOLUTION: A method of packaging smoking articles, includes applying a volatile flavourant to the surface of a pack and/or an insert inserted into the pack immediately prior to the pack being assembled about a smoking article bundle.
