The invention relates to a device for moulding plastic blanks to give plastic containers with a blow mould (2), comprising a cavity (4) within which a plastic blank may be moulded to give a plastic container, wherein the blow mould (2) has a base part (6) to form a base section (10c) of the container (10), said base part defining the cavity (4), a filling device for introducing a gaseous medium into the plastic blank via the mouth thereof, in order to expand the plastic blank within the blow mould (2), with a rod-like body (15), which may be moved relative to the blow mould (2) in order to draw the plastic blank (10) during the moulding process, wherein the base part (6) has a forming section (12) defining the cavity (4), for forming the base section (10c) of the container which matches the shape of the base section (10c) of the container (10) and the forming section (18) has a projection (14) running in the direction of the cavity (4) in a central region (Z).
