<p>Disclosed is a primer composition for optical articles, which is capable of forming a coating film on an optical base such as a plastic lens for eyeglasses, said coating film having excellent impact resistance, excellent abrasion resistance, and excellent adhesion to various plastic materials without causing appearance defects. Specifically disclosed is a primer composition for optical articles, which contains (A) an aqueous dispersion of a urethane resin that has a skeleton derived from a polycarbonate and an elongation of not less than 200% but not more than 1000%, (B) an organic solvent with 3-9 carbon atoms, which has an ether bond or a carbonyl bond and contains one hydroxyl group in each molecule, and (C) a lower alcohol having 1-4 carbon atoms. The mass ratio of the organic solvent to the lower alcohol is 0.01 or greater but less than 2.00.</p> |
