<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter for filtering a liquid, which can remove an extremely low concentration of ions and has a high water permeability and a long life, and to provide a method for filtering a liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The ion exchange filter 1 includes a core material 2 and a laminated sheet 3 composed of a flow passage material sheet 4 and an ion exchange sheet 5, which laminated sheet 3 is wound around the outer periphery of the core material 2. The ion exchange sheet 5 is formed by interposing an ion exchange cast film 7 between ion exchange fiber nonwoven fabrics 6 and 6.
