<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user modify a numerical formula composed of a character string into a desired numerical formula by a simple operation where, for example, the user has erroneously inputted continuously the character string in an area for one 2D function of an electronic calculator for naturally displaying a numerical formula. <P>SOLUTION: A numerical formula "√(2×3)" is inputted into an input formula buffer and displayed on a display section 16 accompanied by arbitrary numerical formula input operations: "√", "2", "×", and "3". When a cursor Cu is moved to the position of the multiplication code "×" in the numerical formula and a "CUT" (cut up) key is operated, since the code "×" in the numerical formula pointed by cursor pointer data P is a specified operator code, it is decided that CUT (cut up) is available. Then, the numerical formula "√(2×3)" is divided into a numerical formula portion "√2" on the left side (the front) than the cursor pointer data P and a numerical formula portion "√3" on the right side (the back), and modified into a multiplication formula "√2×√3" of square roots coupled by a multiplication operator code "×" in the numerical formula having directed the dividing, and the multiplication formula "√2×√3" is displayed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
